■ Cheeeeeese! ■

The Higgins took their first family portraits! We had a long time family friend take them for us and she offered to do it at our second home... DISNEYLAND! We wanted something fun and different and we probably will only be able to take a family picture there once seeing that it will only get crazier with more kiddies. They turned out awesome! We love the creativity and the fun feel of it all. Here is a little taste...

○° Higgins - House = Townhouse °○

As many of you know, we have been fighting for a house since May. We have had a few successes but issues would come up such as not being informed of vital facts and things falling through, we are back at square one. We recently made a switch in realtors so we are very very excited. To keep us from going crazy, we decided to rent a townhome in Corona in the meantime. I found the ad, looked at the place by myself, and signed papers not caring too much about the details of the home just as long as there were two rooms. We weren't attached and didn't think we would love it as much as we do but we are in love. I don't know if its because it is two stories, has more room, or that we got all new furniture but we are lovin it. Through black Friday, cyber Monday, and friends moving to Alaska (Miss you Clarks) we got rid of all our hand me downs and first married stuff. We still haven’t put up much so it’s still incomplete but we love it and if we don't get a house, now it wouldn't feel like the end of the world but we are still at it. Here is the jist of our home!!

♦ Turkey Day ♦

This Thanksgiving we blew outta here and went up to Utah and stayed with my sister and her family and it was awesome. It was a good get away and we had a ton of fun with the Alts and being vacationers. We got to visit Lance's brothers and see family we hadn't seen in awhile. We spent our Thanksgiving feast at my sister's in laws home (Thanks Altamiranos!). It was lovely and delicious. We didn't do much on the trip besides that and do some Black Friday shopping which was aawwweessoommeee. We scored house stuff for practically nothing and didn't wait in any crazy lines for it. It was perfecto. That was probably the highlight and also our nightly rounds of Monopoly =) There is nothing like some good ol' negotiating till 2 in the morning to perfect the holidays and bringing us closer to hating eachother. =) I love you Alts!!! Bring on the next holiday!

◘ Happy Halloweenie ◘

Our very own Sleeping Beauty!! This costume was definitely just for the pictures =) I know thats ridiculous but we are first time parents and who can resist dressing up a little girl as your favorite Disney princess =) Needless to say, she looked adorable. On Halloween, we dressed her up and took some pictures then headed over to Rachelle's (my sister in law) home and hung ouy with her and her family and just enjoyed the night. No, we did not go trick or treating to bank some candy. There is no justifying that to the ones giving the candy or the ones eating it =) We can't wait until next year when she'll have a little bit more of an idea of whats going on!

☼ Disneyland ☼

As most of you know, we are a Disneyland Family!! I bought Mr. Higgins a Disneyland pass as a late birthday present after he came home off his mission and we've had them ever since. We love running away there and either spending the whole day there and do as many rides as we can or go for a few hours and walk around enjoying the atmosphere. We never get tired of going to The Land and letting the child in us run free. Well, things are a bit different now in the Higgins family and now we have.... ♥THE CRUMBLES!!♥
We have taken the little girl to Disneyland 3 times and she is a fan. She just sits and takes it all in and goes on the little rides with us. Then, whenever her nap time comes around she just puts herself right to sleep. We have so much fun together and can't wait till she's old enough to become a Mouseketeer!

♦ Ducks Fans ♦

I know it might sound a little funny but the Ducks game was a great highlight of my pregnancy with this little girl. We went to quite a few games during that time (Thanks Dad!) and they are like little landmarks of what was going on. First, we were at a game when we knew we were pregnant but still hadn't told anyone. Then, we went New Years Eve and the traditional hot dogs we get had me throwing up the rest of the night =) Then, I went to a game after we found out it was a girl after we had been told it was a boy and I was bouncing off the walls. Then, we went to games here and there and the last game of the season I went to I was so big I gave up standing to cheer cause it wasn't worth the struggle. And now.....She's here!!! We brought her to her first game and it was so nice looking back on all those other times at the Ducks game to now to have her with us! We had a great time and she was perfect during it all. The Ducks games were around through it all and now Crumbles is around for the action. Go Ducks!

*•* Baby Blessing & Birthday *•*

September 6, 2009 - Blessing Day!
On this day we blessed our Crumbles!!! It was such a nice day and she was perfect during it all and looked so pretty in her little white dress (Thanks Grandma Carter!) Lance did a great job and had been looking forward to this day for a loooong time. He is a great father and patriarch over our family. We were blessed to have lots of family around and all of the Carter Clan there. We are so grateful for everyone that came and that traveled to be there to show your love and support.

September 6, 2009 - My Birthday!

I turned 23 and we got to bless our baby girl all in the same day! It was a great birthday and having Roxanne finally here in our little family made it all the better. Once again, it was nice to have family around to share my birthday with (and my Creative Cake ). Wancey Pants and my family did a great job with my birthday! I got my FIRST sewing machine! I'm becoming more domestic everyday =) He also got me EA Sports Active for the Wii and surprised me (until my sister blurted it out =) ) and took me to Knotts Berry Farm later that week.

Once again, I feel extremely blessed and I love my little growing family very much as well as my extended family. Thank you to everyone that made this day a great and memorable one <3.
